3,000 Zen Micro Pods will be delivered in a year thanks to a partnership between ZEVO, a tech-enabled EV mobility platform, and Zen Mobility, a young Indian electric vehicle OEM. guaranteeing a notable improvement in delivery operations.

According to the business, the Zen Micro Pod’s unique design, which includes a 150 kg payload carrying capability, a range of more than 120 kilometres per charge, and a bespoke box, enables it to easily manoeuvre through traffic and ensure on-time deliveries. Further enhancing ZEVO’s delivery capabilities will be Zen Mobility’s upcoming Zen Maxi Pod, a 4-wheeler Light Electric Vehicle (LEV) intended for mid to large-size deliveries.

With an initial focus on Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), ZEVO intends to roll out these cutting-edge vehicles across the country. To satisfy local challenges, this first phase will allow for extensive testing and refinement. After these areas see successful implementation, the rollout will go on to other major cities including Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, and Bangalore.

ZEVO plans to dedicate a significant part of its fleet to e-commerce deliveries to fulfil the increasing demand for consumer goods shipments on time. To maintain a balance between these two important industries, the same number of units will be devoted to grocery delivery services at the same time.

Aditya Singh Ratnu, CEO and Managing Director ZEVO, said, “Zen Mobility’s cutting-edge electric vehicle designs, such as the MicroPod and Zen Maxi Pod, perfectly align with our aim to provide efficient, sustainable, and customer-centric logistics solutions across India. This collaboration represents a significant step towards our goal of setting new industry standards for timeliness and transparency.”

Namit Jain, Founder and CEO, Zen Mobility, said, “Our Zen Micro Pods have been meticulously crafted to navigate urban environments seamlessly, enabling efficient and eco-friendly last-mile deliveries. Through our collaboration with ZEVO, we aim to lead the way in urban mobility, where zero-emission transportation solutions are the standard. Together, we’re committed to setting new industry benchmarks for excellence, ensuring that every delivery not only meets but exceeds customer expectations, while also minimizing carbon footprint.”
