Yuma Energy has achieved a major milestone in India’s electric mobility transition, surpassing 35 million battery swaps while expanding its network to over 2,000 swapping stations across 17 cities. This remarkable growth makes Yuma Energy the fastest-growing Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) provider in the country.

Launched in February 2023 with just 85 stations, the company has expanded its footprint 20 times in just over two years, highlighting the rising demand for battery-swapping solutions. The service has become especially vital for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and last-mile logistics operators, offering drivers faster, more affordable, and reliable energy access compared to conventional charging.

Muthu Subramanian, GM & MD of Yuma Energy, said:

“Our growth reflects the trust of EV users and fleet partners, as well as India’s pace in adopting battery swapping as a practical, scalable energy solution. By removing barriers like high upfront costs, charging downtime, and range anxiety, Yuma Energy is enabling faster EV adoption and shaping a future-ready energy ecosystem.”

      Driving EV Adoption in India

Battery swapping is increasingly seen as a game-changer in India’s EV ecosystem. With quick swaps completed in minutes, predictable costs, and dependable infrastructure, Yuma’s model reduces the key challenges of EV ownership. Its BaaS platform is helping accelerate adoption in ride-hailing, delivery services, and urban transport, making clean mobility more accessible.

      Future Roadmap

Yuma Energy plans to deepen its presence in existing cities while expanding into new markets. The company aims to build India’s largest battery-swapping infrastructure, supporting the nation’s sustainable mobility goals and commitment to reducing carbon emissions.

By scaling its network and enabling cost-effective, flexible energy solutions, Yuma Energy is set to play a pivotal role in shaping India’s EV future.
