Volvo Car India announced the inauguration of a new ultra-fast EV charging station on the Mumbai Nashik Highway in collaboration with EV charging network operator ChargeZone. The station serves both Volvo EVs and other electric vehicles, marking a key step in building a premium nationwide supercharging network.
The facility features a 360 kW Star Charge unit with two dynamic load balancing dispensers, ensuring optimal power distribution, reduced waiting times, and a faster real-world charging experience. Strategically located on one of Maharashtra’s busiest intercity corridors, it offers dedicated bays for Volvo vehicles, seamless app-based navigation and payment, and enhanced convenience for all EV users.
Jyoti Malhotra, MD of Volvo Car India, said, “Volvo Cars is committed to driving the transition towards sustainable mobility. This 360 kW station on the Mumbai–Nashik highway is the first step in delivering a world-class charging experience across India.”
Kartikey Hariyani, Founder and CEO of ChargeZone, added, “The Mumbai–Nashik hub showcases high-speed, technology-enabled infrastructure with dynamic power loading, significantly improving the customer experience.”
Volvo Car India plans to open additional ultra-fast charging stations across key corridors this year, aiming to strengthen EV adoption, long-distance travel, and India’s transition to sustainable mobility.
