Volkswagen Group has officially introduced its Electric Urban Car Family, a lineup of compact all-electric vehicles aimed at making EV mobility more accessible across Europe. The new models are scheduled for launch in 2026, with prices starting around €25,000.
The family includes four vehicles across Volkswagen, CUPRA, and Škoda brands: the ID. Polo, ID. CROSS Concept, ID. Polo GTI, CUPRA Raval, and the Škoda Epiq. All models are built on the advanced MEB+ platform and feature Volkswagen’s Unified Cell battery technology, offering up to 450 km range and fast-charging capabilities.
In addition to performance and efficiency, the new vehicles come equipped with premium features including Travel Assist with lane-change functionality, traffic light recognition, LED matrix lighting, and smartphone-based car key access.
Volkswagen Group aims to capture around 20% of Europe’s small electric vehicle market, which is expected to expand significantly over the next eight years. With this launch, the automaker seeks to strengthen its presence in Europe’s growing compact EV segment.
Oliver Blume, CEO of Volkswagen Group, commented: “This is a milestone in our e-mobility strategy. The Electric Urban Car Family embodies accessibility, innovation, and our promise of mobility for all.”
The launch reinforces Volkswagen’s ongoing commitment to expanding its electric vehicle portfolio while making EV technology more affordable and widely available to European customers.
