Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) maker VinFast has officially launched its latest all-electric SUV, the VF 7, at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025, marking a pivotal step in the company’s rapid expansion across Southeast Asia.
With the VF 7, VinFast now boasts five electric models in the Indonesian market—VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, VF e34, and VF 7—solidifying its leadership in the country’s fast-growing EV sector.
Two Variants, Competitive Pricing
The VF 7 is available in two variants—Eco and Plus—with starting prices at IDR 499 million and IDR 599 million, respectively (on the road, including battery). As part of an exclusive launch offer, the first 200 customers can purchase the Eco version for IDR 468 million and the Plus for IDR 568 million, valid until September 1, 2025, or while stocks last.
Free Charging & Industry-Leading Warranty
In a move to enhance customer appeal, VinFast is offering free charging at its V-GREEN stations nationwide until March 1, 2028. Additionally, all VF 7 customers will benefit from a 10-year or 200,000 km warranty, one of the most comprehensive in the industry.
Striking Design with Italian Touch
Designed in partnership with Torino Design of Italy, the VF 7 features the brand’s “Asymmetric Aerospace” design language. Highlights include bold “V” LED light strips, a sloping roofline, 19-inch alloy wheels, and a driver-centric interior. Inside, buyers will find premium leather seats, a 12.9-inch touchscreen, heads-up display (HUD), and piano key-style gear selectors.
The SUV measures 4,545 mm in length and has a 2,840 mm wheelbase, promising a roomy cabin. It is available in five exterior and two interior colour combinations, with a two-tone scheme exclusive to the Plus model.
Power, Range, and Driving Performance
The VF 7 Plus features a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup producing 260 kW (349 hp) and 500 Nm of torque, paired with a 70.8 kWh battery, delivering a claimed 471 km range (NEDC). Meanwhile, the Eco variant has a single 130 kW (174 hp) motor with 250 Nm torque, a 59.6 kWh battery, and a range of 430 km—ideal for urban commuters.
Advanced Safety and OTA Upgrades
Both versions come equipped with 7 airbags and a full suite of active safety technologies like ABS, EBD, ESC, TCS, and Hill Start Assist. The VF 7 Plus further integrates 17 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features, including Highway Assist, Auto Lane Change, Traffic Jam Assist, and a 360-degree camera system. Over-the-air (OTA) updates will be provided for all models.
