VinFast has introduced a free charging program aimed at significantly lowering the cost of electric vehicle ownership, with potential savings of more than 50% compared to conventional fuel expenses.
The initiative allows VinFast customers to charge their vehicles at no cost across the company’s expanding charging network, reducing one of the biggest barriers to EV adoption—running costs.
The program is designed to make electric mobility more accessible and to accelerate the shift away from internal combustion engine vehicles, particularly in markets where fuel prices remain volatile.
By eliminating charging expenses, VinFast estimates that EV users could cut their overall fuel or energy costs by more than half, depending on driving patterns and local fuel prices.
The move comes as competition intensifies in the global EV market, with automakers offering incentives and cost advantages to attract new buyers. VinFast has been expanding its presence internationally while investing heavily in charging infrastructure to support its vehicles.
The company did not specify how long the free charging program will remain in effect or whether it will apply across all markets.
