VinFast has extended its free electric vehicle (EV) charging benefit for customers in India until March 31, 2029, pushing the deadline beyond its earlier commitment of July 2028.
The updated offer will apply to both current and future buyers, allowing them to charge their vehicles at no cost across the company’s supported charging network during this period. The initiative is not limited to private owners—commercial users, including fleet and ride-hailing operators, are also covered.
This move is aimed at making EV ownership more affordable by cutting down on running expenses, which remain a key concern for many buyers in India. By eliminating charging costs for a longer duration, VinFast is trying to encourage more people to switch from petrol and diesel vehicles.
The extension also reflects the company’s broader push to strengthen its presence in emerging EV markets like India, while supporting the shift toward cleaner mobility.
