Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast has taken a significant leap in its Southeast Asian expansion strategy by signing strategic dealership agreements with 20 new partners at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025. This move marks a crucial step in the company’s ambition to become a dominant player in the Indonesian EV market.

The new partnerships are expected to lead to the launch of 38 additional showrooms by the end of 2026. Combined with expansion from existing partners, VinFast plans to operate 85 showrooms across 34 dealerships in Indonesia by next year.

Among the newly onboarded Indonesian partners are PT Auto Green AAS, PT Ivan Dijaja Mandiri, PT Bimmeroom Mobil Indonesia, PT Alto Anugerah Abadi, PT Prestisius Indonesia, and PT Mega Central Autoniaga. These companies were chosen for their strategic locations, established market presence, and automotive retail expertise.

Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia, said the partnership with highly capable Indonesian enterprises is a major step in establishing a comprehensive and high-standard EV ecosystem across 19 provinces and 41 cities. He added that the company is committed to providing seamless customer experiences with professional consulting and world-class after-sales service.

To strengthen its new dealer network, VinFast has pledged extensive support through ongoing training programmes, ensuring that dealers maintain a global-standard understanding of the brand’s product lineup, technology, and maintenance protocols.

Ivan Farrel Djayaprawira, Director of PT Ivan Djaja Mandiri, expressed pride in aligning with VinFast’s mission for green mobility. He noted that with strong infrastructure and market insights, the company aims to deliver premium EV experiences and unlock new growth potential in the sector.

VinFast’s product lineup in Indonesia currently includes the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, VF e34, and the newly launched VF 7, covering a range of segments from compact urban cars to premium electric SUVs.

To entice new buyers, VinFast is offering free charging at V-GREEN stations and 0% interest financing and is actively building partnerships with service centres and financial institutions to enhance accessibility and convenience.

This bold dealership expansion underscores VinFast’s wider ambition to be a leading EV brand in Southeast Asia, aligning closely with Indonesia’s national roadmap for EV adoption and green mobility.
