Vayve Mobility, a Pune-based company, has launched Eva, the first solar-powered electric vehicle (EV). The Eva made its public debut at the current Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, where it is priced at Rs 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The solar-powered vehicle is now officially available for reservation for a nominal Rs 5,000.
Delivery of the Eva won’t start until the second half of 2026, though. Additionally, extra benefits like a three-year free vehicle connectivity plan and an extended battery warranty will be given to the first 25,000 purchasers.

There are various battery and motor options available for the Vayve Eva. Rear-wheel drive is a feature of every variation. Additionally, according to Vayve, the solar roof panel increases range by 10 km each day. The Eva has a top speed of 70 kmph and can accelerate from a stop to 40 kmph in 5 seconds.
The Vayve Eva has two screens: a digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system. Additional convenience features include a fixed glass roof, a two-spoke steering wheel, a 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and a manual air conditioner.
