Ultraviolette, the Bengaluru-based all-electric motorcycle brand, has announced plans to set up a new manufacturing facility in Karnataka with an annual capacity of 150,000 units. The company will also expand production at its existing Bengaluru factory, with a proposed investment of ₹200 crore.
The announcement was made after Ultraviolette signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Karnataka during the ‘Invest Karnataka’ Conclave, in the presence of Shri M. B. Patil, Minister for Large & Medium Industries.
Narayan Subramaniam, CEO & Co-founder of Ultraviolette, said the expansion reflects confidence in Karnataka’s EV ecosystem, talent pool, and policy support. The Siddaramaiah-led government will provide incentives including Production-linked Incentives (PLI) and fast-track facilitation to boost manufacturing, innovation, and employment in the EV sector.
Ultraviolette, known for its high-performance electric motorcycles F77 and X-47 Crossover, currently operates over 40 experience centres in India and aims to expand to 100 cities by the end of 2026. The brand also has a presence in 12 European countries and plans to scale further across Asia and Latin America.
Additionally, Ultraviolette announced a partnership with Bolt.Earth to roll out a Type-6 DC fast-charging network for two-wheelers, targeting 50 chargers in two months and 2,000 chargers within 24 months, providing 0–80% charge in 2.5 hours.
