Bengaluru-based electric mobility startup Ultraviolette Automotive has officially commenced deliveries of its highly anticipated X47 Electric Adventure Motorcycle, marking a major milestone for India’s premium electric two-wheeler segment. The deliveries began at the company’s state-of-the-art production facility, with the first batch of motorcycles handed over to customers who had pre-booked the model during its launch phase.

The Ultraviolette X47, positioned as the world’s first radar-integrated electric motorcycle, combines the capabilities of an adventure tourer with the agility of a street machine. Priced at an introductory ₹2.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the X47 aims to redefine electric motorcycling with its futuristic design, advanced features, and impressive performance metrics.

      Performance and Specifications

The X47 comes in two battery configurations — 7.1 kWh and 10.3 kWh — offering an impressive range of 211 km and 323 km (IDC), respectively. The motorcycle can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, with a top speed of 145 km/h. The high-performance electric powertrain is complemented by fast-charging capabilities, enabling users to charge up to 80% in under 75 minutes using a compatible fast charger.

      Advanced Technology and Safety

One of the biggest highlights of the X47 is its radar-based Advanced Rider Assistance System (ADAS) — a first-of-its-kind feature for a production motorcycle. The system includes collision warning, blind-spot detection, and adaptive cruise alerts, providing enhanced situational awareness for riders. The bike also features dual onboard cameras, multiple riding modes, regenerative braking, and connected app support for real-time performance tracking.

      Design and Build

The X47 sports a distinctive crossover design with aggressive body lines, an aerodynamic front fascia, and a high ground clearance suited for urban commuting as well as long-distance touring. Built on an aerospace-grade aluminium frame, the motorcycle ensures superior stability and handling. The bike is available in a range of premium colours, including Stellar White, Turbo Red, and Shadow Black.

      Market Outlook and Company Strategy

With deliveries now underway, Ultraviolette is shifting focus from launch to large-scale customer delivery and after-sales support. The company aims to expand its dealership and service network across major Indian cities in the coming months, followed by international exports.

The X47 strengthens Ultraviolette’s product portfolio, following the success of its F77 electric sports motorcycle, and demonstrates its commitment to innovation in high-performance electric mobility. The company’s long-term goal includes scaling production capacity and setting new benchmarks for EV technology, design, and sustainability.

      What’s Next

Early adopters of the X47 will benefit from over-the-air (OTA) updates, extended warranty options, and exclusive membership access to the Ultraviolette Owners Community. With a blend of power, range, and technology, the X47 is poised to compete with both premium petrol and electric motorcycles in India’s growing EV market.
