Mahindra & Mahindra recently announced that this year’s Independence Day will see the launch of a brand-new platform. Although the automaker hasn’t disclosed any additional information yet, the New Flexible Architecture (NFA) is probably going to make its premiere alongside the new-generation Bolero and Bolero EV. The domestic carmaker will also launch two new electric SUVs in 2025: the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV, a competitor to the Tata Nexon EV, and the Mahindra XEV 7e, a competitor to the Tata Safari EV. Let’s examine these forthcoming new Mahindra electric SUVs’ salient features in more depth.
Mahindra’s upcoming electric SUVs for 2025
Mahindra XUV 3XO EV
Although the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV’s official debut date has not yet been disclosed, it is anticipated to go on sale in the upcoming months. According to leaked test mules, the electric SUV will have a somewhat altered front fascia with a modified grille and bumper in addition to the C-shaped LED DRLs. Aero-optimised alloy wheels will also be a part of the EV. An upgraded instrument cluster with EV-specific graphics is probably going to be installed inside. According to media rumours, a 35 kWh battery pack may be available for the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV.
Mahindra XEV 7e
The domestic automaker’s first INGO-based electric SUV, the Mahindra XEV 7e, is scheduled to be on sale in late 2025. This EV’s design will be similar to that of its ICE equivalent and its born-electric brother, the XEV 9e. It will have a dynamic bumper and closed-off grille up front, which are taken from the XEV 9e. The alloy wheels and a few EV-specific indicators at the back will actually resemble those of the XEV 9e. The inside will also share several features with the XEV 9e, including a triple-screen arrangement and a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated emblem. The XEV 9e’s powertrain configuration will also be used.
