TVS Motor Company, one of India’s leading two- and three-wheeler manufacturers, has partnered with ALT Mobility to deploy 3,000 electric three-wheelers across the country in the current fiscal year. The collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of clean, sustainable mobility solutions in urban and semi-urban areas.
Under this partnership, TVS Motor Company will supply the electric three-wheelers, leveraging its engineering expertise and manufacturing capabilities. ALT Mobility will manage procurement, leasing, and financing of the vehicles through its integrated ecosystem, ensuring easy access for both individual drivers and fleet operators. The vehicles will be distributed through TVS Motor’s extensive network of authorised dealerships as well as ALT Mobility’s points of sale across India.
The initiative follows ALT Mobility’s “drive-to-own” leasing model, which allows drivers and fleet operators to gradually acquire ownership while benefiting from reduced upfront costs. This model is expected to promote wider adoption among last-mile cargo transporters and passenger operators, providing a practical alternative to conventional fuel-powered three-wheelers.
The electric three-wheelers are designed to deliver efficient, zero-emission performance, contributing to India’s broader goals of reducing urban air pollution and fostering sustainable transportation. This partnership also underscores TVS Motor’s commitment to expanding its EV portfolio and supporting India’s transition toward clean mobility solutions.
Commenting on the initiative, a TVS Motor spokesperson said,
“Our collaboration with ALT Mobility reflects our shared vision of promoting sustainable urban mobility. By deploying 3,000 electric three-wheelers, we are taking a significant step toward reducing carbon emissions while supporting drivers and fleet operators with practical and affordable EV solutions.”
ALT Mobility added that this programme is part of a long-term strategy to expand EV leasing and financing solutions in India, making electric mobility accessible to a broader segment of the population. The rollout is expected to strengthen last-mile logistics, enhance operational efficiency for fleet operators, and serve as a model for scalable EV adoption nationwide.
This partnership marks a major milestone in India’s electric mobility journey, combining manufacturing expertise, financing solutions, and innovative deployment strategies to make sustainable transportation more practical and widespread.
