The brand-new Alphard and Vellfire Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) models from Toyota Motor Corporation will go on sale in Japan on January 31, 2025. In addition to these six-seater PHEVs, Alphard and Vellfire’s upgraded gasoline and Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) models will be available on the market sooner.

The New PHEV Models’ salient features include:

Enhanced Comfort and Quietness: A large-capacity lithium-ion battery installed beneath the floor of the PHEVs contributes to the better riding experience and cabin quietness.

For chauffeured drives, the quietness of a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) is replicated via reduced noise and vibrations.

Environmental Care: Suitable for daily travel, BEV mode driving offers a 73 km range on battery power alone.
By adjusting to driving conditions, automatic BEV/HEV mode switching guarantees the best possible fuel efficiency.

      Easy Power Supply and Charging:

Provides quick charging capabilities; it takes about 38 minutes to reach 80% charge.

Includes Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) technology, which makes it possible to use battery-stored electricity to power the house in an emergency.

Luxurious Interiors: The cabin is enhanced by a wooden steering wheel, Ultrasuede® ceiling, and special 19-inch aluminum wheels.

The Alphard models are priced starting at 5,100,000 JPY for the base HEV (X Grade, 8-seater, 2WD), while the PHEV Executive Lounge is priced at 10,650,000 JPY (E-Four, 6-seater). The Vellfire models start at 6,700,000 JPY for the Z Premier Grade (2.4L Turbo, 2WD), with the PHEV Executive Lounge available for 10,850,000 JPY (E-Four, 6-seater).
