As one of its multi-path strategies for building a carbon-neutral community, Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) announced at Auto Shanghai 2025 in Shanghai, China, that it will increase its battery electric vehicle (BEV) model lineup in China.
BEVs represent a significant proportion of new car sales in China, an extremely developed market and the global leader in electrification. To further propel a multi-pathway strategy while catering to the requirements of local customers, Lexus unveiled the new ES BEV, the replacement for the UX and RZ BEVs, and Toyota unveiled the new bZ7 BEV, the replacement for the bZ4X, bZ3, bZ3X, and bZ5.
