ThunderPlus, one of India’s fastest-growing EV charging networks, has announced a strategic collaboration with Evey Trans Private Limited, the country’s largest electric bus fleet Operating Company to establish a 1.6-megawatt ultra-fast EV charging hub near Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh.

The upcoming facility, spread across one acre at Kunchanapalli, Tadepalli, will serve as a major EV infrastructure node along the Hyderabad–Vijayawada corridor, one of South India’s busiest transportation routes. The hub is designed to support electric buses, logistics fleets, commercial EV operators, passenger vehicles, and two-wheelers traveling across key intercity routes.

With a total installed charging capacity of 1.6 MW, the facility will feature seven ultra-fast DC chargers, along with battery swapping infrastructure and fast charging stations for two-wheelers, making it one of the most comprehensive EV charging hubs in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

The charging hub has the capacity to accommodate more than 50 electric buses and over 100 electric cars simultaneously, making it an ideal charging and transit destination for buses operating from Vijayawada to multiple parts of the country.

Beyond charging infrastructure, the facility has been designed as a complete EV mobility ecosystem, incorporating several support services including Dedicated bus servicing and repair bays, Spare parts storage facilities, Driver training infrastructure, Boarding and rest facilities for drivers and Vehicle washing and maintenance areas

These integrated facilities aim to improve operational efficiency for large EV fleets while enhancing the charging experience for commercial and private EV users.

Commenting on the partnership, Rajeev YSR,ED & CEO of ThunderPlus, said: “It gives me immense pleasure to partner with Evey Trans, not only the largest electric bus fleet Operating Company in the country but also one of the early pioneers of the Indian EV ecosystem. Together, we are co-developing high-capacity ultra-fast charging hubs that add immense value to India’s EV infrastructure landscape. This partnership echoes ThunderPlus’ ethos of building meaningful and sustainable ultra-fast charging networks through strategic collaborations and future-ready infrastructure.”

Sandeep Raizada, CEO of Evey Trans Private Limited, welcomed the collaboration, stating: “ThunderPlus’ speed of execution, growth momentum, and the energy their organization brings to the table is truly contagious. This is just the beginning of our partnership. Through this collaboration, we are confident of developing several such high-capacity ultra-fast charging hubs across strategic cities and transport corridors, enabling electric buses, trucks, passenger vehicles, and two-wheelers to fully leverage India’s evolving EV infrastructure.”

The hub is expected to play a critical role in supporting large-scale fleet electrification, particularly across intercity transport routes connecting Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and surrounding economic corridors. As India accelerates toward electric mobility, large-scale infrastructure projects such as this ultra-fast charging hub will play a vital role in enabling long-distance EV travel, strengthening fleet electrification, and advancing the country’s transition toward clean and sustainable transportation.

EVEY Trans Pvt Ltd is operating 3300 buses across 50 plus cities in India running 8 lakh plus Green KMs everyday. It has its presence in 7 states and 2 UTs.  Through this partnership, ThunderPlus and Evey Trans Private Limited aim to establish a new benchmark for high-capacity EV charging infrastructure, catalyzing economic activity and transforming the EV ecosystem in India.
