ThunderPlus, one of India’s fastest-growing EV charging companies, has officially launched its MegaWatt Ultra-Fast EV Charging Hub at Mutthugadahalli, just minutes from Kempegowda International Airport, Bangalore. With a massive 1 MW capacity, this ultra-modern charging hub is positioned as one of the most advanced EV charging stations in India, designed to cater to the growing demand for electric cars, buses, and commercial EVs.
India’s Largest Ultra-Fast EV Charging Station Near Bangalore Airport
Spread across 28,000 square feet, the new ThunderPlus hub offers a comprehensive range of EV chargers – from 7.4 kW AC chargers to 240 kW DC ultra-fast chargers. It can simultaneously serve over 100 electric cars and more than 10 electric buses, making it a prime destination for fleet operators, intercity EV buses, cargo EV trucks, and daily EV users in Bangalore.
Its strategic location near Bangalore International Airport also makes it a critical EV charging hub for intercity travel, connecting Bangalore with India’s rapidly expanding EV-ready highway network.
Electrifying the Hyderabad–Bangalore EV Corridor
The Bangalore MegaWatt hub follows ThunderPlus’s successful 1 MW EV charging station in Hyderabad and precedes the upcoming 1 MW hub in Kurnool. Together, these hubs completely electrify the Hyderabad–Bangalore Highway, enabling long-distance EV travel without range anxiety.
Speaking about the milestone, Rajeev YSR, CEO of ThunderPlus, said:
“Our mission is to electrify all major Indian highways with MegaWatt-class ultra-fast charging infrastructure. With hubs in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and soon Kurnool, we are building a future-ready ecosystem that supports electric cars, buses, trucks, and high-capacity EVs. After successfully electrifying the Hyderabad–Vijayawada EV corridor, we will soon expand to the Vijayawada–Visakhapatnam stretch, further strengthening India’s EV highway network.”
Ultra-Fast EV Charging in Under 20 Minutes
ThunderPlus is shaping the future of EV charging in India by planning a nationwide grid of 1 MW+ charging stations, equipped with 240 kW to 320 kW ultra-fast chargers. These hubs are designed to charge electric cars and buses in under 20 minutes, ensuring a seamless and time-efficient charging experience.
In addition to high-speed charging, ThunderPlus is developing its hubs as traveler rest points with comfortable amenities, enabling EV drivers to relax, refresh, and resume their journey with confidence.
Driving India’s EV Revolution
With the launch of its MegaWatt Ultra-Fast Charging Hub near Bangalore Airport, ThunderPlus is not only boosting EV adoption in Karnataka but also contributing significantly to India’s sustainable mobility goals. Its bold vision for nationwide EV highway electrification places it at the forefront of India’s electric vehicle infrastructure revolution.
