Evey Trans Private Limited, a unit of Olectra Greentech, has received two Letters of Award from Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) for the supply, operation, and maintenance of 1,085 electric buses in Telangana. The contract is valued at approximately ₹1,800 crore.
The order includes 1,025 twelve-metre non-AC buses and 60 twelve-metre AC buses, to be delivered over 20 months. The contract follows a Gross Cost Contract (GCC)/OPEX model spanning 12 years, where the operator is paid a fixed rate per kilometre while the transport corporation retains control over routes and fares. Under this model, Olectra will also provide maintenance throughout the contract period.
The transaction between Olectra and EVEY is a related-party transaction executed on an arm’s-length basis, with no promoter interest in TGSRTC.
This order highlights the scaling of intra-city electric bus deployments in Telangana, moving beyond smaller pilot projects. Successful execution will require phased integration of charging infrastructure and depot readiness, combining operational planning with large-scale procurement.
With this contract, Olectra reinforces its position as a key player in India’s expanding electric mobility ecosystem.
