Tesla has surpassed 3,000 Supercharging locations across the United States, representing a roughly 20% increase since early 2025, when the network had 2,500 sites.
The number of individual charging stalls has grown to over 36,400, up more than 25% from the 29,000 stalls reported at the start of 2025. The average number of stalls per location has also increased from 11.6 to 12.1, highlighting Tesla’s focus on installing relatively large charging stations.
Market Context
While Tesla remains the dominant charging network in the US, its market share is gradually declining due to growing competition. Other major networks include:
- EVgo – over 1,200 stations
- Electrify America – over 1,100 stations
- ChargePoint – estimated over 1,000 stations
Industry analysts expect continued expansion of Tesla’s network, along with rapid growth from other charging providers, potentially bringing more networks into four-digit station counts in the near future.
Global Perspective
Globally, Tesla operated 8,182 Supercharging stations with 77,682 stalls at the end of 2025, with more than a third located in the US. In Canada, the network comprises 270 stations and 2,840 stalls, supporting cross-border EV travel and regional electrification initiatives.
