Tesla has expanded its presence in India with the launch of its second showroom, located in Delhi’s upscale Aerocity, along with its first Supercharger facility in the city. The move comes as the American EV giant prepares to begin deliveries of the Model Y in September.

The Tesla Experience Centre Aerocity occupies an 8,200 sq. ft. space in the Worldmark 3 building, leased for nine years. The site also features four Superchargers with a maximum output of 250 kW and three Destination Chargers offering up to 11 kW. This marks Tesla’s first Supercharger location in Delhi, with three more planned for Saket, Gurugram, and Noida.

In addition to the Aerocity site, Tesla has leased a 33,000 sq. ft. space in Orchid Business Park, Gurugram, also under a nine-year agreement, to serve as a delivery and service hub for customers in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Tesla’s expansion aligns with its strategy to target affluent and progressive customers in key metro markets. The company’s first showroom opened in Mumbai, and the new Delhi outlet strengthens its footprint in northern India. While there are no immediate plans to open showrooms beyond Mumbai and Delhi, Tesla has confirmed Bengaluru as the next location in its Supercharger network due to the city’s high EV adoption rates.

“We cannot miss Bangalore (Bengaluru), so we have to do that,” said Isabel Fan, Tesla’s Senior Director for Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Macau, during the opening event.

Tesla introduced the Model Y in India last month, offering the standard-range RWD at ₹5.989 million and the long-range AWD at ₹6.789 million (excluding on-road costs). Both variants are imported as completely built-up units (CBUs) from China, with deliveries scheduled to begin in September.

With this expansion, Tesla is not only strengthening its retail network but also rapidly growing its charging infrastructure to support India’s evolving EV ecosystem.
