Tesla Inc. has announced the departure of Siddhant Awasthi, the chief engineer overseeing the company’s highly anticipated Cybertruck program. After serving the company for eight years, Awasthi’s exit represents a major shift in Tesla’s senior engineering leadership during a pivotal period for its electric vehicle (EV) production plans.
According to a report, Awasthi played a crucial role in leading the engineering and production processes for the Cybertruck, Tesla’s first all-electric pickup truck. Awasthi, who joined Tesla in 2017, held multiple engineering positions before being appointed as Chief of the Cybertruck project.
