Tata Power has commissioned a 180 kW ultra-fast electric vehicle charging station at Vithal Kamat Restaurant in Manor on NH‑48, strengthening India’s intercity EV infrastructure and enabling faster long-distance travel.
The high-capacity charger can boost EVs from 20% to 80% in 15–30 minutes, supporting both personal and commercial vehicles, and addresses a key barrier to adoption: range anxiety. It uses the CCS2 fast-charging standard, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of electric vehicles.
Designed for convenience, the location offers clean facilities, dining options, and rest areas, enhancing the travel experience for EV users.
This new installation is part of Tata Power’s EZ Charge network, which includes over 6,700 public and semi-public charging points, more than 200,000 home chargers, and 1,200+ e-bus charging stations across 630 cities. The EZ Charge mobile app further improves accessibility by enabling users to locate stations, check real-time availability, and make digital payments.
The charger is expected to serve 25–30 vehicles daily, supporting India’s shift toward sustainable, long-distance EV travel.
