Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited (TPEVCSL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, has announced a strategic collaboration with VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) to accelerate the adoption of electric commercial vehicles in India. The partnership is expected to significantly boost the deployment of Eicher Pro X range of small electric commercial vehicles, along with buses and other models from VECV’s EV portfolio.

Collaboration to Strengthen EV Adoption in Commercial Mobility

Under the newly signed MoU, Tata Power will leverage its extensive EZ Charge network and expertise in delivering customized charging infrastructure, while VECV will contribute its deep domain knowledge in energy efficiency and fleet optimization. Together, they will provide integrated solutions to truck and bus operators, helping them seamlessly adopt electric mobility.

The partnership will directly address critical challenges such as range anxiety, charging infrastructure availability, and operational costs—key barriers that have slowed down the commercial EV transition. Both companies aim to actively engage with Eicher Trucks and Buses customers, promoting the adoption of zero-emission vehicles across India’s logistics and transport sector.

      Tata Power’s Expansive Charging Network

Tata Power has already built one of India’s largest EV charging ecosystems under its EZ Charge brand, comprising:

      • 1.5 lakh+ home chargers

      • 5,500+ public, semi-public, and fleet charging points

      • 1,200+ e-bus charging points

      • Coverage across 630+ cities and towns

With over 4 lakh registered customers, Tata Power’s charging solutions are strategically deployed at highways, hotels, malls, offices, hospitals, depots, and residential complexes, ensuring easy accessibility for both personal and commercial EVs.

      Driving India’s Green Transport Future

This collaboration with VECV underscores Tata Power’s vision of creating a robust, nationwide EV charging ecosystem that supports not just passenger cars but also electric trucks and buses. By combining Tata Power’s charging expertise with VECV’s vehicle innovation, the partnership is poised to transform India’s commercial mobility sector.

“Our partnership with VECV is a milestone in accelerating the transition of India’s commercial fleet towards clean and sustainable mobility. With the Eicher Pro X range and advanced charging infrastructure, we aim to make electric trucking more accessible and efficient for operators,” said a Tata Power spokesperson.

By integrating charging infrastructure with innovative vehicle solutions, Tata Power and VECV are paving the way for a green, efficient, and sustainable commercial vehicle ecosystem, aligned with India’s climate and clean mobility goals.
