Tata Motors is offering discounts of up to 20% on its electric vehicles as part of a state-led initiative to promote electric mobility among government employees, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar announced.
The offer applies to popular EV models such as the Tata Tiago EV, Tata Punch EV and Tata Curvv EV, with discounts ranging between 10% and 20%.
The programme, launched on March 24, has received a strong response from government employees across the state, according to the minister.
Other EV manufacturers, including Mahindra Electric, Gravton Motors, Ola Electric and Ather Energy, have also expressed interest in offering similar benefits.
The initiative is part of the state government’s broader push to promote sustainable transport, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and accelerate EV adoption through collaboration with leading manufacturers.
The minister urged more companies to participate in the programme and encouraged government employees to take advantage of the scheme to transition to electric mobility.
