The premium Red #Dark edition and a new 45 kWh battery pack have been added to the Nexon.ev line by Indian automaker Tata Motors, along with the launch of the Nexon iCNG. With these upgrades, the Tata Nexon is now the only car in India to be offered with four different powertrain options: electric, diesel, CNG, and gasoline.

Launching the new Nexon offerings, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, said, “With more than seven lakh vehicles sold in just seven years, the Nexon has created a distinct mark for itself amongst customers in India’s growing SUV market. Nexon’s popularity has steadily increased, driven by well-timed and innovative technological upgrades, and today’s new launches further enhances its appeal.

      The Tata Nexon iCNG

The Nexon iCNG is the first CNG vehicle in India with a turbocharged drivetrain. Its 1.2L turbocharged engine produces 100PS of power and 170NM of torque, meaning performance is never compromised. The Nexon iCNG delivers on its promise to maximize practicality with a segment-leading 321 liter of trunk space, made possible by Tata Motor’s cleverly created, cutting-edge, and tried-and-true twin-cylinder technology.

With a 45kWh battery pack now standard, the Tata Nexon.ev can charge at 1.2C and has a range of 489 km (Urban + Extra Urban), compared to the C75 real-world range of 350–370 km. This also tackles a significant obstacle to the adoption of EVs: their expensive purchase price in comparison to cars that run on gasoline. The Nexon.ev’s real-world range and features, along with its new 45 kWh battery pack, make it an appealing choice for consumers.
