SWITCH Mobility, part of the Hinduja Group, has launched ‘Dekho Meri Dilli’, Delhi’s first zero-emission electric double decker sightseeing bus service. Operating under the company’s CSR initiative, the full-day route starts at Dilli Haat–INA and covers iconic landmarks such as Vijay Chowk, Rashtrapati Bhavan, the National Museum, National Gallery of Modern Art, Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalya, India Gate, and the National War Memorial, returning
The service uses the SWITCH EiV 22, India’s first standard-floor, air-conditioned electric double decker, featuring a 231 kWh NMC battery, 650V electrical architecture, liquid-cooled technology, dual-gun charging, and a range of up to 250 km. The bus accommodates 65 passengers and is manufactured domestically under the FAME II scheme.
SWITCH Mobility already operates electric double decker buses in cities including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, and Kerala, with 100 hop-on hop-off tourist buses running across 10 locations in India. As part of Ashok Leyland’s electric mobility division, the company has deployed over 2,400 electric buses globally, covering more than 150 million km.
