Bengaluru-based food delivery major Swiggy on Monday announced a partnership with electric vehicle (EV) company Bounce to strengthen its green mobility initiatives. The collaboration will see Bounce’s electric scooters being deployed for Swiggy’s delivery operations across multiple cities.

According to Swiggy, the first phase of the rollout will take place in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru over the next three months. The e-scooters will be available for purchase by delivery partners through Swiggy’s Delivery Partner app and Bounce’s mobile app at exclusive pricing.

“This partnership with Bounce is a significant move towards greener and more cost-effective delivery. We aim to scale this partnership across multiple cities in the country in the coming months,” said Saurav Goyal, Senior Vice President, Driver and Delivery Organisation at Swiggy.

The initiative is expected to reduce the carbon footprint of hyperlocal deliveries while lowering operating costs for delivery partners. It also aims to make electric mobility more affordable and accessible for thousands of partners across Swiggy and Instamart.

Swiggy already works with over 50 EV partners nationwide to support delivery fleet electrification. This new tie-up further strengthens the company’s efforts, as it moves towards its target of transitioning to a fully electric fleet by 2030.

The development comes as more e-commerce and quick-commerce companies turn to EV partnerships to reduce emissions and boost efficiency. Last year, Battery Smart partnered with Zepto to provide access to more than 1,000 battery-swapping stations across 30 cities, while EV provider BLive expanded its collaboration with Zomato to deploy TVS iQube scooters for last-mile deliveries in southern India.

Swiggy said it plans to expand its Bounce partnership to more cities in the coming months, reinforcing its long-term sustainability roadmap.
