On August 7, 2025, the Indian Auto component and electric vehicle market observed a mixed trend as there was a number of major gainer stocks, and there was a number of small loser stocks showing indecision with floating volatilities in sponsoring confidence.

Hero MotoCorp was amongst the majority gainer stocks, up 4.16% and closing at ₹4,660.70 indicating a level of confidence at investment, perhaps due to their vigorous development of an EV portfolio. Another important electric bus manufacturer Olectra Greentech, reported a strong gain of 2.75% to ₹1,447.90, perhaps on the back of optimistic expectations on government e-bus procurement initiatives.

Apart from the improvements in EV component and powertrain segments, Bharat Forge was up 1.95% at ₹1,161.60, while UNO Minda and Greaves Cotton increased by 1.91% and 1.42% respectively. Large auto electronics dealer, Bosch, ended at ₹38,570.00, up 0.83%.

The company with the biggest decline, Minda Corporation, dropped 2.80% to close at ₹461.65, while Exicom Tele-Systems dropped 2.27% to ₹143.56. The slight losses reported by Tata Motors, JBM Auto, Uniparts India, and HBL Engineering also suggested that investors were booking short-term profits.

OLA Electric Mobility decreased only 0.13% at ₹40.26, and stayed relatively flat. This indicates that investors have not made up their minds about the OLA Electric Mobility investment case long term despite the IPO timeline seeming to hasten.

The broader sector reflected mixed sentiment in valuations overall, losses in mid-, and some small-cap EV stocks, and moderate gains in a few of the larger-cap stocks. Market observers indicated new EV policy announcements and global clean mobility trends will continue to impact investors over the next few weeks.
