A decisive turning point in the global expansion strategy of Soriano Motori, the Italian-born EV and lifestyle brand, has been reached with the announcement of the opening of its new U.S. manufacturing facility in Southbury, Connecticut. The factory will manufacture the company’s iconic Giaguaro V1-Series electric motorcycles, which will now be marketed as “Made in USA.”
The action allows Soriano Motori to expand its footprint in North America and comes after the recent EU-USA Trade Treaty. The company will also introduce its first line of prototypes created by Soriano9, a global joint venture with the U.S. design firm Gyre9 that integrates expertise from the automotive, two-wheeler, and industrial sectors, in conjunction with the plant opening.
Keynote addresses, product unveilings, immersive technology displays, and test ride demonstrations will all be part of the grand opening celebration at 1200 Main Street South, Southbury. Additionally, attendees will interact directly with Soriano’s engineering team, see modular cutaway models, and experience virtual reality ride simulations.
The international significance of Soriano’s expansion is reflected in the confirmed attendance of industry leaders, international banks, and investors, including representatives from Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and Santander.
“This is more than just a factory opening—it’s a statement about innovation, sustainability, and global collaboration,” said Marco Antonio Soriano, Executive Chairman of Soriano Motori.
The company positions its Connecticut plant and Soriano9 venture as pivotal steps in blending heritage design with modern EV technology, aiming to redefine performance, luxury, and lifestyle in the electric two-wheeler industry.
