Dassault Systèmes has announced that River will be using Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform to develop robust, technologically advanced, and dependable electric two-wheelers that are a mix of utility and lifestyle designed for young Indians.

DassaultThrough a design-first approach, River aims to make a positive impact on the everyday lives of people.

This use of the platform is driven by the need to overcome product development, design and production-related hurdles such as issues related to data duplication, lack of revision control, lack of a single platform for collaboration, difficulty in tracking and retrieving old data, and more.

The 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud offers a 360-degree product development ecosystem combining advanced designing and styling capabilities along with user-friendly simulation, product lifecycle management, and virtual twin technology for a more efficient and sustainable design process.

The platform’s 3D modeling and virtual reality (VR) technology is playing an incremental role in efficiently communicating design ideas, resulting in more productive collaborations across departments.

The platform offers River a holistic, real-time vision of manufacturing sustainable mobility solutions and has the potential to accelerate the pathway to achieving carbon neutrality.

The use of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform has resulted in cost efficiency across processes and facilitated seamless scaling up from two users initially to 84 users in just two years. Also, the accuracy of the 3D models has helped in reducing the fabrication rework.

The platform’s ready-to-deploy capabilities have resulted in saving on any additional IT infrastructure and maintenance costs.

The platform offers a single collaborative environment that connects people, ideas, data, and solutions, offering anytime, anywhere access to crucial data along with the latest iterations.

“Using Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform has proven effective in simplifying our product lifecycle management process and significantly reduced our go-to-market timeline for River’s first electric two-wheeler, Indie. Dassault Systems’ platform is a valuable asset that will help Indian OEMs accelerate the country’s automobile electrification,” said Aravind Mani, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, River.

“Our 3DEXPERIENCE platform can help customers reimagine their products, processes, and even business models to shape new sustainable innovations. River Mobility has access to a robust platform on the cloud that can streamline the development and designing process of industry-standard sustainable mobility solutions for current and future needs,” said Deepak NG, Managing Director India, Dassault Systèmes.
