      First Fleet of EVs Launched at REC’s World Headquarters

      Committed to go green, REC Ltd Chairman & Managing director (CMD), Vivek Kumar Dewangan has launched the first fleet of Electric Vehicles at REC’s World Headquarters in Gurgaon.

      RECREC CMD has also inaugurated a rapid-charging station powered by 1 MW of rooftop solar power (approx.).

      The solar plant will be used to power the EV fleet, which is zero-pollution.

      Dewangan also inaugurated the REC Control Room, as it is a one-stop service provider to all REC employees.

      The Control Room will act as a point of coordination between different departments, minimizing the effort and maximizing the outputs for employees.

      This one-stop solution center would provide seamless services in a paperless format to manage transportation issues, health issues, general maintenance and administration.

      The Chairman & Managing Director, Vivek Kumar Dewangan led the ribbon-cutting ceremony in the presence of Ajoy Choudhury – Director (Finance), VK Singh – Director (Technical), TSC Bosh – Executive Director and other employees.

      REC Ltd, in its quest for a greener future, has set a goal of replacing all conventional staff cars with electric vehicles between 2024 and 2025.

      REC Limited, formerly known as Rural Electrification Corporation Limited, is a Power Finance Corporation Limited’s holding company, and is under the ownership of the Ministry of Power, Government of India. It finances and promotes power projects across India.
