Rapido, India’s largest shared mobility platform, announced a strategic partnership with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and ONDC, enabling metro ticket booking directly on the Rapido app through ONDC integration. This collaboration represents a forward-looking step towards streamlining urban mobility and enhancing multimodal commuting in the Delhi-NCR region.

The collaboration was formally launched at an event held at Hotel The Lalit, New Delhi, in the esteemed presence of Shri Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, DMRC, who served as Chief Guest alongside Mr Vibhor Jain, CEO & COO, ONDC, and Mr Sanjiv, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

Through ONDC’s open network infrastructure, commuters can now seamlessly purchase Delhi Metro tickets directly on the Rapido app. The initiative underscores a shared commitment to digital inclusion and urban convenience by integrating ticketing and last-mile services on a single platform.

Beyond ticketing, Rapido and DMRC have jointly introduced a set of commuter-focused initiatives aimed at enhancing the daily transit experience:

      • Exclusive discounts on metro tickets booked via Rapido
      • Designated pick-up and drop-off points at select metro stations
      • Flat ₹25 fares on Rapido bike metro for metro commuters
      • Dedicated pick-up zones for women to promote safer access at high-traffic stations

“We are grateful to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and ONDC for their support and vision in enabling this landmark integration. This collaboration marks a significant step in our commitment to enhancing urban mobility and simplifying access to public transport for millions in the Delhi NCR region. We believe this initiative will meaningfully impact the daily commute experience by offering a seamless, safe, and affordable first and last-mile solution”, said Aravind Sanka, co-founder of Rapido.

Dr Vikas Kumar, MD, DMRC, added, “Delhi Metro has consistently worked towards strengthening last-mile connectivity and enhancing commuter convenience through digital innovation. Our association with Rapido, enabled via ONDC, is a progressive step towards offering a more connected and accessible travel experience for Delhi’s commuters.”

Rapido’s integration with the ONDC Network marks a significant step in making public transit more accessible, intuitive, and user-friendly. By enabling metro ticketing alongside its first- and last-mile offerings, Rapido can now stitch the entire journey, doorstep to destination, on a single interface. sd This reflects a broader shift toward unbundled, interoperable services where public infrastructure meets people where they already are, said Mr Vibhor Jain, CEO & COO ofg. ONDC.

With this launch, Rapido takes a step closer to building an integrated urban transit experience, making daily commutes simpler, smarter, and more connected for Delhi-NCR residents.
