Patanjali Launches EV Scooter With 440KM Range at ₹14K

Patanjali, which has transformed India’s FMCG and healthcare industry, has taken a bold step into the electric vehicle space. The company has introduced an electric scooter with a 440KM range at a price of ₹14,000.

Patanjali’s electric scooter has an incredible range of 440 kilometres on a single charge. It is driven by a removable lithium-ion battery that charges fully in about 3 to 4 hours. The scooter has a maximum speed of 60 km/h and is priced around ₹14,000 (launch price). It measures around 75 to 80 kilogrammes and has both front and rear drum brakes. Customers can choose from white, blue, grey, and black colours.

The launch price of ₹14,000 is shocking. That is much less than the average price of electric scooters in India, which generally ranges between ₹70,000 and ₹1.2 lakh.

Patanjali’s electric scooter is designed for mass market consumers, particularly daily commuters in small towns looking for affordable and reliable means of transport. It is a cheap mode of transportation for students and features a lightweight body that is convenient for use by women looking for safe mobility. The scooter is also coveted by environmentally conscious consumers looking to cut down on petrol consumption. Being affordable puts it in competition for first-time buyers of electric vehicles. Generally, it aims to be cheap, environmentally friendly, and available.

So far, Patanjali has not provided any official announcement on its website or through press releases about booking links or delivery timelines for the electric scooter. Yet, the brand has teased a phased rollout plan, starting with pilot cities in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Pre-booking is supposed to be done through authorized Patanjali outlets, with the option of online registration by a dedicated mobile app, as yet to be unveiled. A country-wide launch of the scheme across India is likely by the end of 2025.
