      Over 700 Electric SUVs of BYD Delivered Across India

      China-based electric mobility maker, BYD India has been celebrating its 16th Year Anniversary in India as they have witnessed the delivery of 700 units of electric SUVs in India.

      electric SUVs In the past 16 years, the Company has played a significant role in accelerating NEV adoption in the country, and it has witnessed the delivery of more than 700 units of BYD ATTO 3 to multiple cities across India.

      A series of EV models and technologies have been introduced to India, including India’s First Premium Electric MPV, the All-New e6; India’s First Sporty Born E-SUV, BYD ATTO 3 which is equipped with the revolutionary Ultra-safe Blade Battery and exclusively designed e-Platform 3.0 for the next generation of EVs.

      With continued cultivation in India, BYD has promoted the development of the local EV market.

      On top of this, BYD India has also introduced EVs to the fields such as Material Handling Equipment, public sector transport, heavy-duty trucks, etc.

      Today, the operating volume of buses equipped with BYD powertrains and batteries has exceeded over 1,000 units and orders of electric heavy-duty trucks Q1R have surpassed 600 units having a leading position in this niche segment.

      Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President of Electric Passenger Vehicles of BYD India, said, “We are happy to celebrate this milestone in India. As of February, we have delivered over 700 units of BYD ATTO 3s to various cities in India in just two months and have received very positive responses from customers. We believe more and more customers will choose our premium electric SUV. As always, we are fully committed to the market, our customers, and our dealer network.”

      Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President of the Electric Passenger Vehicle Business, BYD India, said, “We are delighted to inaugurate the passenger car dealership in Noida with Landmark Group, which will help us to reach the wider target audience in Uttar Pradesh. Our third collaboration with the Landmark Group is the pathway for us to tap into a wider market, with our expertise combined to leverage technological innovation and a better lifestyle, where customers can opt-in for a sustainable drive towards a better tomorrow. Noida has seen a surge in EV consumption in the previous year and we hope to witness steady growth in the coming future with our joint efforts.”

      Currently, BYD India has over 2,000 employees in Chennai and the company has showrooms across 21 cities with 24 outlets in PAN India.

      BYD aims to expand to 53 outlets by the end of 2023. BYD will continue the endeavor to leverage technological innovations for a better life, providing Indian customers with diversified EV products and implementing its “Cool the Earth by 1 degree C” initiative.
