OPG Mobility (formerly Okaya EV), a key player in India’s electric mobility sector, has announced the appointment of Mr. Maharana Ray as its new President & Chief Growth Officer (CGO). In his leadership role, Mr. Ray will be responsible for heading the company’s EV operations—spanning brands such as Ferrato and OTTOOPG—while steering business expansion, market development, brand enhancement, and strategic alliances.

With over 20 years of experience in the automotive, electric mobility, and energy sectors, Mr. Ray brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record in driving scalable growth and operational excellence. Prior to joining OPG Mobility, he served as Vice President at Chetak Electric (Bajaj Auto), where he led network development, customer experience, and strategic planning, successfully expanding the brand’s footprint across India.

Mr. Ray’s professional journey spans across 16 countries, covering both domestic and international markets. His core competencies include sales, service, channel management, human resources, and after-sales support. An alumnus of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, and a member of its Achiever’s Club, Mr. Ray has also completed executive leadership training at IIM Ahmedabad.

Anshul Gupta, Co-Founder of OPG Mobility, expressed his confidence in the new appointment:

“We are delighted to welcome Maharana Ray to our leadership team. As OPG Mobility steps into its next phase of growth, his vision, deep industry experience, and sharp execution focus will be instrumental in accelerating our EV businesses and expanding our market presence.”

Sharing his enthusiasm about the new role, Maharana Ray stated:

“OPG Mobility is one of India’s fastest-growing electric mobility solution providers. I am excited to join this journey and contribute toward building inclusive, sustainable, and reliable mobility solutions. Together, we aim to scale operations, grow our brand, and make OPG a trusted name in the EV space—both in India and internationally.”

As CGO, Mr. Ray will focus on expanding sales, unlocking new revenue streams, growing the company’s distribution and retail networks, and strengthening its brand visibility. His appointment is part of OPG Mobility’s broader strategy to solidify its leadership position in India’s fast-evolving electric vehicle industry.
