Omega Seiki Mobility sharpens B2G electric mobility focus

Omega Seiki Mobility has unveiled the RAGE+ Tipper with hydraulics at Municipalika 2026, reinforcing its strategic focus on the business-to-government (B2G) electric mobility segment. The electric three-wheeler is positioned as a purpose-built solution for municipal corporations and sanitation departments, particularly in high-density urban areas.

Priced at ₹4.5 lakh (ex-showroom), the zero-emission vehicle is designed to support daily waste collection operations as Indian cities accelerate fleet electrification under initiatives such as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

      Built for municipal duty cycles

The RAGE+ Tipper is engineered specifically for demanding civic operations:

      • Claimed range: 250 km per charge
      • Battery pack: 15 kWh (among the largest in its segment)
      • Payload capacity: 500 kg
      • Hydraulic tipping mechanism: Enables faster waste unloading
      • Construction: All-metal body for durability
      • Charger: IP67-rated for safety and weather resistance
      • Warranty: 5 years or 2 lakh km

These specifications aim to improve lifecycle economics for government buyers managing large fleets, where uptime, durability and operating cost are critical factors.

According to the company, more than 200 electric garbage tippers have already been deployed across India, with particularly strong traction in western states. The current B2G order book stands at 500 vehicles, and the company is targeting deployment of 1,000 garbage tippers between FY2026 and FY2027.

Growing momentum in the B2G EV segment

Electric garbage tippers are emerging as a high-potential category within the B2G segment. Municipal waste vehicles typically operate in congested zones where emissions and noise have direct environmental and public health impacts. Transitioning to electric platforms allows urban local bodies to:

      • Reduce carbon emissions
      • Lower fuel and maintenance costs
      • Improve route efficiency
      • Minimise noise pollution

Part of the Anglian Omega Group, Omega Seiki Mobility manufactures electric cargo carriers, passenger vehicles and mobility solutions for domestic and export markets. With an emphasis on localisation and engineering-led product development, the company is strengthening its position in India’s electric three-wheeler and government fleet segments.

The launch of the RAGE+ Tipper marks another step toward cleaner and more sustainable municipal mobility infrastructure in India.
