Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) has announced its entry into the passenger electric two-wheeler segment with the launch of its new electric scooter, Vextra, targeting both domestic and international markets.
Priced at ₹99,900, the Vextra e-scooter has been designed to cater to the growing demand for affordable, technology-driven electric mobility solutions for daily commuting as well as professional use. The company is aiming to sell 15,000 units of the scooter annually, with 9,000 units expected from the domestic market and 6,000 from overseas markets.
As part of its global expansion strategy, OSM will initially focus on West African markets, including Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Mali, where demand for cost-effective and efficient electric mobility solutions is on the rise. To support this expansion, the company is setting up a new electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Lagos, Nigeria. The facility will handle regional assembly and distribution and is expected to become operational by May this year.
The Vextra e-scooter offers a top speed of 70 kmph and delivers a real-world range of over 110 km on a single charge. Production of the scooter will take place at OSM’s manufacturing plant in Faridabad, India.
India’s electric two-wheeler industry is witnessing strong growth, driven by rising fuel prices, increasing urban congestion, sustainability goals and supportive government policies.
