Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) has entered India’s personal electric two-wheeler segment with the launch of its first high-speed electric scooter, Vextra, priced at ₹99,900 (ex-showroom). The launch marks a strategic expansion for the company, which has so far focused primarily on commercial electric vehicles.
The Vextra is aimed at urban commuters and everyday riders, offering a claimed real-world range of over 110 km on a single charge and a top speed of up to 70 kmph. It is powered by a 3.45 kWh IP67-rated LMFP battery paired with a 3 kW BLDC hub motor, designed to deliver a balance of performance, durability, and efficiency.
In terms of features, the scooter comes equipped with multiple riding modes, a colour LCD instrument cluster, reverse parking assist, and USB charging. Charging from 0 to 80 percent is expected to take around four hours using a standard home charger.
Manufacturing of the Vextra will take place at Omega Seiki Mobility’s Faridabad facility, which has an annual production capacity of 25,000 units. The scooter will be sold through the company’s pan-India dealer network, covering major metro cities as well as Tier II and Tier III markets.
With the Vextra, Omega Seiki Mobility aims to leverage its experience in electric mobility to tap into the rapidly growing personal EV market in India.
