Olectra Greentech Limited announced that India’s first heavy-duty 6×4 electric tipper received its first homologation certificate.
Olectra Greentech Limited is a group company belonging to Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited.
The electric tipper is roadworthy and has been in compliance with all Central Motor Vehicles rules. The firm stated that they are currently discussing the order for 20 electric tippers and added that it will soon launch other variants of the electric tipper and electric trucks.
“The Olectra electric tipper is India’s first heavy-duty, certified tipper. It was engineered and made in India. Discussions are now in their final stages for the order of 20 electric tippers.
K V Pradeep, Olectra Greentech managing director and chairman said, “We will soon launch variants for the electric tipper and electric truck. This is only the beginning of our journey.”
To make the electric tipper ready for Indian roads it was subject to extensive testing in various conditions, including maneuvering on mountainous terrains at high elevations and digging into the earth in quarrying and mining pits.
Olectra’s silent electric tipper is quiet and emits no carbon emissions.
