Olectra Greentech Limited has announced the appointment of Dr. Allabaksh Naikodi as Head – EV Systems, strengthening the company’s capabilities in electric powertrain engineering and battery system integration. The move underscores Olectra’s focus on advancing electric vehicle (EV) technology across its portfolio, particularly in electric buses and large-format mobility solutions.
Dr. Naikodi is recognized as one of India’s foremost EV experts, with extensive experience in the design and development of eDrives, chargers, advanced battery management systems (BMS), and battery packs across two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger cars, and buses.
He has been honored with the highest innovation award at Mahindra Group for developing a powertrain with best-in-class efficiency and holds 12 patents in EV technologies. His previous leadership roles include CTO at JLNPhenix Energy, Head of EV at Royal Enfield, and Head of R&D (Electrical & Electronics) at Mahindra Electric. He has also held senior positions at Schneider Electric, Tech Mahindra, Satyam, Honeywell Aerospace, HBL Nife Power Systems, and ABB.
Beyond corporate leadership, Dr. Naikodi contributes to shaping India’s EV ecosystem as a Member of the National EV Steering Committee and Chairman of the EV Project Review Committee for the Government of India. He is a gold medalist from PDA College of Engineering and holds a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
With this appointment, Olectra Greentech aims to deepen technical expertise and accelerate innovation in India’s rapidly evolving electric mobility sector.
