On January 31, Ola will launch its new Gen 3 platform. In an earlier investor call, Ola had provided information about the third-generation goods, but the company had not provided a date. Ola has now formally declared the launch. The company claims that the new platform would be more effective and give rise to several new goods.
The battery pack and motor of the third-generation Ola platform will undergo major modifications, including an integrated battery, a magnetless motor, and electronics housed within the chassis. Ola claims that this will help the business save expenses by 20% while simultaneously increasing efficiency by 26%. By using magnetized electrical coils rather than a permanent magnet, the magnetless motor will provide greater torque.
Nevertheless, in addition to the current S1 series, the new platform will give rise to two new ones: S2 and S3. There will be three versions under the S2 brand: a performance-focused vehicle, a long-distance tourer, and a city-friendly commuter. Conversely, the S3 line will concentrate on high-end items including an adventure model and a maxi scooter.
According to an event held at the Ola plant last year, the S1 range of scooters will probably be the first of the Gen 3 platforms. Additionally, there is a good probability that Ola will introduce or display its electric motorcycle line, which the firm just revealed on X.
