Ola Electric has not yet delivered a single electric motorbike to its customers. As per a new source, customers might have to wait a bit longer for the Ola Roadster X. Ola Electric launched its first motorcycle, the Roadster X, in February this year at a starting price of Rs 74,999 (ex-showroom).
Ola Electric has again postponed the Roadster X’s launch. This is the third time deliveries of electric bikes have been pushed back. Roadster X was supposed to arrive in March after its launch in February, but that did not materialize.
Ola had submitted an exchange last month, saying that production of the Roadster X has commenced at the Futurefactory facility in Tamil Nadu and that deliveries are set to start soon. The company has once again missed the deadline. In a filing with the stock exchange, the company informed that deliveries will now commence in May.
Ola Electric is already facing a lot of criticism for several reasons, the most noteworthy among them being an inflated sales figure in February 2025. In a letter sent to the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Ola Electric revealed that it counted 1,395 Roadster X bookings towards February sales numbers even though no vehicles were delivered to intended consumers. This practice has also drawn the scrutiny of regulatory bodies.
