      Ola Electric Launches S1 X+ 5.2 kWh With 4680 Bharat Cells; Makes Long Range EV Scooters More Accessible For Every Indian

      Ola Electric announced the launch of the new S1 X+ 5.2 kWh, powered by its indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cell. With this, the company is bringing its advanced in-house cell technology to the mass market, making long range EV scooters accessible for every Indian. Launched at an introductory price of ₹1,29,999 valid till 15th April, S1 X+ 5.2 kWh marks a major milestone in Ola Electric’s journey to drive adoption of high-performance EV technology at scale.

      This move underscores Ola Electric’s vertical integration across cell development, battery pack engineering, and vehicle manufacturing, enabling it to rapidly scale breakthrough technology across segments.

      Ola Electric Spokesperson, said, “With S1 X+ 5.2 kWh, we are taking our 4680 Bharat Cell to the mass market at scale. The same technology platform we built for our most advanced products is now powering a scooter designed for much wider EV adoption. This is exactly what vertical integration enables – the ability to innovate deeply, scale quickly, and bring our best technology to more and more customers, faster. S1 X+ 5.2 kWh is where performance, range and scale come together, and is another important step towards making EVs accessible to every Indian.”

      The S1 X+ 5.2 kWh brings together strong performance, everyday practicality, and advanced technology in one package. Powered by an 11 kW mid-drive motor with integrated MCU, the scooter delivers a 320 km IDC range and a top speed of 125 km/h. It also comes equipped with Brake-by-Wire and front disc brakes, offering improved control and braking performance.

      Ola Electric currently offers an expansive portfolio of Gen 3 S1 scooters and Roadster X motorcycles. The premium S1 Gen 3 portfolio includes S1 Pro+ in 5.2kWh, and 4kWh configurations, and S1 Pro in 4kWh, and 3kWh configurations. The company’s mass market offerings include Gen 3 S1 X+ (4kWh), and Gen 3 S1 X (2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh) respectively.

      The company’s Roadster motorcycle portfolio comprises Roadster X+  in 4.5kWh and 9.1kWh configurations. The Roadster X, available in 2.5kWh, 3.5kWh, and 4.5kWh configurations respectively.
