Ola Electric has become the first electric vehicle manufacturer in India to cross the 10 lakh sales mark, according to data from the Vahan portal.
The company has sold a total of 10,00,846 units since it began operations in 2021, making it the fastest to reach the milestone in the country’s EV segment.
Ola had earlier set the pace by becoming the first Indian EV brand to cross 1 lakh sales in 2022, followed by 2 lakh in 2023. Its strongest performance came in 2024, when it sold over 4 lakh units in a single year, registering 52% growth and capturing a 35% share of the electric two-wheeler market.
The company competes with TVS Motor, Bajaj Auto, Ather Energy and Hero MotoCorp. Among these, TVS has crossed 2 lakh annual sales twice, while Bajaj and Ather have achieved the milestone once each. Hero MotoCorp has crossed 1 lakh sales once.
However, Ola’s sales momentum has slowed recently. Between January 1 and March 23, 2026, the company sold 16,714 units, with its market share dropping to around 5% in the first quarter.
Despite the recent dip, the 10 lakh milestone highlights Ola Electric’s early lead in India’s fast-growing EV market.
