      Ola Electric has officially commenced mass deliveries of its 4680 Bharat Cell-powered electric vehicles, marking a major milestone in India’s electric mobility journey. The S1 Pro+ (5.2 kWh) becomes the first electric scooter in India to run on an indigenously manufactured 4680 battery cell, reinforcing Ola Electric’s position as the only EV company in India to own the entire battery cell and pack manufacturing process in-house.

      This breakthrough strengthens India’s push towards self-reliance in advanced EV battery technology and enhances the country’s standing as a future global EV manufacturing hub.

      India’s First Fully Indigenous 4680 Battery Ecosystem

      With the successful deployment of the 4680 Bharat Cell, Ola Electric has achieved complete vertical integration of battery cell production, battery pack manufacturing, and vehicle integration. This makes Ola the first Indian EV manufacturer to control the full battery value chain within the country.

      According to the company, the in-house 4680 Bharat Cell delivers:

      • Higher energy density

      • Improved thermal safety

      • Longer battery life

      • Stronger performance output

      This advancement significantly reduces dependence on imported cells and strengthens Atmanirbhar Bharat in the EV sector.

      S1 Pro+ Performance: High Power, Long Range, Enhanced Safety

      The Ola S1 Pro+ (5.2 kWh) offers industry-leading performance, powered by a 13 kW electric motor delivering rapid acceleration of 0–40 kmph in just 2.1 seconds.

      Key performance highlights include:

      • IDC-certified range of 320 km (with DIY mode)

      • Four riding modes: Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco

      • Category-first dual-channel ABS

      • Front and rear disc brakes for enhanced braking confidence

      These features position the S1 Pro+ as one of the highest-performing electric scooters in India.

      Premium Design, Comfort and Expanded Colour Options

      The S1 Pro+ also receives multiple design and comfort upgrades to enhance the everyday riding experience, including:

      • Two-tone premium seat with supportive foam

      • Body-coloured rear-view mirrors

      • New die-cast aluminium grab handle

      • Stylish rim decals

      • Expanded color palette featuring:

        • Passion Red

        • Porcelain White

        • Industrial Silver

        • Jet Black

        • Stellar Blue

        • Midnight Blue
