Ola Electric has officially kicked off customer test rides of its revolutionary 4680 Bharat Cell-powered vehicles at flagship stores nationwide. The initiative marks a major technological milestone for the company as it introduces its first indigenously manufactured 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack in a production-ready vehicle—the S1 Pro+ (5.2 kWh).

The newly launched 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack promises higher range, stronger performance, improved thermal stability, and enhanced safety, setting a new benchmark in India’s EV ecosystem. Ola Electric recently announced that the battery technology has secured ARAI certification under the latest AIS-156 Amendment 4 safety standards, reinforcing its commitment to reliable and future-ready EV engineering.

      An Ola Electric spokesperson commented,

“Our 4680 Bharat Cell-powered vehicles represent a major leap in India’s EV journey. With this indigenous technology now available for customers to experience at our flagship stores, we are proud to bring the future of performance, range, and safety to the roads today. This milestone underscores Ola Electric’s commitment to technological self-reliance and accelerating sustainable mobility across the country.”

Performance and Features of the S1 Pro+ (5.2 kWh)

The S1 Pro+ (5.2 kWh) is equipped with a powerful 13 kW motor and delivers outstanding acceleration, reaching 0–40 kmph in just 2.1 seconds. The scooter offers an impressive 320 km IDC range (with DIY mode), making it one of the most capable electric scooters in its class.

Riders can switch between four dynamic riding modes—Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco—optimising performance and efficiency based on preference and terrain. The model also introduces segment-first dual ABS, along with front and rear disc brakes for superior safety.

Additional enhancements include a redesigned ergonomic seat with plush supportive foam, body-coloured mirrors, a die-cast aluminium grab handle, rim decals, and a refreshed colour palette featuring the following:
Passion Red, Porcelain White, Industrial Silver, Jet Black, Stellar Blue, and Midnight Blue.
