Octillion Power Systems has reached a major milestone in India, rolling out its 100,000th electric vehicle battery system, highlighting its growing scale in one of the world’s fastest-expanding EV markets.

The landmark unit was produced on March 20, 2025, at the company’s second facility in Pune and supplied for a newly launched electric passenger SUV from a leading domestic automaker. The achievement reflects strong production momentum across its operations in Pune and Gujarat.

The company attributed the milestone to consistent efforts across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams, with a focus on delivering high-performance battery systems while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Octillion has been rapidly expanding its India footprint, investing in local manufacturing and supplier ecosystems to reduce import dependence and improve efficiency. It is also planning a new large-scale facility in Halol to further boost capacity.

Since entering India in 2017, Octillion has grown from a single-site operation focused on electric bus batteries to a multi-facility network serving passenger vehicles, commercial trucks, buses, and two- and three-wheelers. The company now operates over 300,000 square feet of manufacturing space, with projected annual output expected to reach 8 GWh by 2026.

The milestone underscores Octillion’s role in supporting India’s transition to cleaner mobility, with a continued focus on enabling EV adoption and reducing urban emissions.
