Under the direction of executive director Shinichi Kiga, the 2024 Super GT Series sprang into action at the Okayama International Circuit. With a newfound determination and a reorganised driver lineup, the Nissan/NISMO teams has set out to win the GT500 class championship again.

A slew of improvements to the body profile, aerodynamic performance, and cooling systems have been made possible by the Nissan/NISMO teams’ adoption of the Nissan Z NISMO as their basis vehicle for this season. With their sights set firmly on winning, the teams announced a strong field of competitors, all of whom were eager to succeed and had access to cutting-edge technology.

Leading the way are the #23 Motul Autech Z, driven by Katsumasa Chiyo and Ronnie Quintarelli, and the #3 Niterra Motul Z, driven by Mitsunori Takaboshi and Atsushi Miyake. The #12 Marreli Impul Z, piloted by Kazuki Hiramine and Bertrand Baguette, and the #24 Realise Corporation Advan Z, driven by Tsugio Matsuda and Teppei Natori, are also participating in the battle. Every vehicle has a special tyre alliance, with Yokohama and Bridgestone taking the front stage.

Throughout a heated and competitive weekend, the Nissan/NISMO teams proved their mettle on the track. The #23 Motul Autech Z finished in fifth place, closely followed by the #3 Niterra Motul Z in sixth, despite the difficulties presented by the demanding track.

The 2024 Super GT Series opener witnessed a tantalizing display of speed, skill, and determination, setting the stage for an electrifying season ahead. As the Nissan/NISMO teams continue their pursuit of glory, fans can expect thrilling showdowns and unforgettable moments on the track.
