The price of the all-new Maruti Dzire will be revealed following Diwali. Although it will share many internal components with the recently introduced Swift, the outward design of the next-generation compact car will be distinct.

The new Dzire, which shares its Heartect platform with the Swift, will be more distinctive than its predecessors. The front bumper of Maruti’s compact car will have a sportier appearance, thin headlamps, a blacked-out horizontally slatted grille, and a snout that looks similar to an Audi.

The hatchback will be further distinguished from the compact sedan by new alloy wheel designs that are similar in size, new wraparound LED taillights, and a boot that seems to be larger than its predecessor and has more angular creases.

The inclusion of a sunroof is another significant distinction. The interior of the new Dzire will, nevertheless, remain mostly similar to that of the Swift, albeit with brighter colors to create a lighter, more airy interior. A climate control system, an analog instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch digital MID, and a 9-inch free-standing touchscreen are anticipated to be included in the top-spec versions’ feature list.

The 1.2-liter, three-cylinder Z Series petrol engine from the Swift will be used in the New Dzire. With gasoline, this motor produces 82 horsepower and 112 Nm of torque in the hatchback; with compressed natural gas, it produces 69.75 horsepower and 101.8 Nm. The CNG vehicles will only have a manual transmission, whereas the gasoline versions will have both an AMT and a 5-speed manual.

The new Dzire’s launch is expected around Diwali, and the CNG version’s prices are expected to be announced later. The new-gen model will cost a premium over the outgoing Dzire, which is priced between Rs 6.57 lakh-9.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
