Decathlon has unveiled the new Btwin E-Three 500 longtail cargo e-bike, now available across several European markets including the UK, the Netherlands and France. The model replaces the earlier Btwin Elops R500E, introducing a larger battery and extended riding range along with a refreshed feature set.
The Btwin E-Three 500 is equipped with an 8-speed drivetrain and a 60 Nm motor, offering three assistance modes: Eco, Normal and Boost. Pedal assistance supports speeds up to 25 km/h (16 mph). A key upgrade is the 711 Wh battery, which delivers an estimated range of up to 82 km (51 miles) in Eco mode (unloaded), 65 km (40 miles) in Normal mode (unloaded), or 50 km (31 miles) in Normal mode when carrying a load.
Designed for practicality and comfort, the bike features a Suunto suspension fork with 75 mm of travel, Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors, and a mixed wheel setup combining 20-inch and 26-inch tires. It offers a total payload capacity of 170 kg (375 lbs), including up to 80 kg (176 lbs) on the rear rack and 10 kg (22 lbs) at the front.
The E-Three 500 is B’Clip-compatible, making it easy to attach panniers or baskets. Standard equipment includes an integrated wheel lock, 60 lux front light, handlebar-mounted display, mudguards, a skirt guard and a bell. The bike weighs approximately 39 kg (86 lbs) and comes in three color options: Abyss Blue, Sorbet Green and Taupe Pink.
The Decathlon Btwin E-Three 500 longtail cargo e-bike is priced at £2,799.99 in the UK and €2,499.99 in select EU countries.
